6/11/09 - Tonight Show RIP. I guess I need to get a blog for my rants, or maybe just rant on twitter, but I am going through major withdrawals from the Tonight Show. I am not sure how long I have been watching the Tonight Show, but its been a weeknight ritual for me for at least 33 years. I loved Johnny, and even though I missed him when he left, I had no issues with Jay. But Conan is a different story. This guy is as about as entertaining as watching paint dry. If fact, I think watching paint dry would be more entertaining. Don't get me wrong. I gave Conan a chance on at least three nights... and each time he could make me want to change the channel within a few minutes... which I did. I have been watching David Letterman instead. David is not a replacement for Jay, but he is a hundred times better than Conan. I am waiting for Jay's new show so that I can record it on the DVR and watch it at the normal Tonight Show time slot. I hear that the younger folks like Conan... something I don't understand at all... are today's young people so brain dead that they can set there and watch that crap?

Hey Everyone! Welcome to the personal web site of Dean Akin. Let me start by warning you that many of the pages on this site are password protected at the request of family and friends. Thanks for taking time to visit my personal web page. I made this page just for fun. Most of the work I have done up to now was for my business site, so I thought it would be fun to do something totally different for a change. I am not too creative when it comes to graphics, so don't look too close. It is my hope that my family scattered around the country will check in here often. I intend to update the site after holidays and special occasions. I would like to invite my friends and family members to submit new information to be included here. I am open to new ideas. 

Please take time to check out the pictures of my family and friends. I seem to have a lot of friends that don't want their picture taken. Too bad, what else am I going to put on a personal web site?

Oh yeah, don't forget my pets. If you know me, you know that I spend a lot of time with my two dogs, so I had to dedicate a page for them. Besides, I am convinced that God has a special place for people that don't like his animals.
